First of all, congratulations for the married. So, I guess its a really special date and deserves a good travel.
Well, if can suggest a real unique experience i had on travel, was Rio de Janeiro in Brazil South America, wow that city is amazing, the beaches, the natural beauties, the nightlife its the most complete destination i had meet in my life, the people there is welcoming, the climate... they have one of the 7 wonders of world(Corcovado), wikipedia has a good article about that city: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_de_Janeiro
And the hotels has a special packages for marry with special amenities and stuff like that.

And its a cheap trip too, cause the local money is lower than half dollar (01 dollar = 2,1500 Real), and contact good agencies there you can have even better prices, when i travelled there I use this guys: http://www.riodejaneiro-hotels.travel/
They are a local office of a global portal called WHL.travel... so is reliable source and you can count with a local team to provide support when necessary and its guarantee the real good known of the place too.

I hope I have helped.

So many places outside the US that are great to go to. Canada. Mexico. Peru. Brazil. Argentina. Italy. Kenya. New Zealand. Budapest. Switzerland. Brussels. Japan. Vietnam. The Caribbean. Tahiti. Monte Carlo. It all depends on what you and your bride like to do, want to do, etc. You need to talk with her to determine what you'd both like (Beach? City? etc.) and go see what a travel agent can suggest.

Hawaii held on to its No. 1 spot on the list of top 10 overall destinations for the ninth year in a row, according to Modern Bride's annual survey of 6,000 travel agents.

Italy, noted for its cuisine and cultural attractions, followed in second place while Tahiti's beaches and secluded locale earned it the No. 3 spot.

While the islands that make up the Caribbean may be small, they were big enough to catch the eye of travel experts, capturing four of the spots on the list.

Anguilla and St. Barths joined the top 10 this year, while Jamaica and St. Lucia continued to delight travel agents with their romantic ambiance.

Fiji, Mexico and France also were popular picks among those surveyed.

The experts may make their recommendations, but newlyweds still follow their heart when it comes to choosing their honeymoon destination.

The most popular major honeymoon cities are Paris, Venice, Honolulu, San Francisco and Sydney, the survey said.

Think luxury
Newlyweds are seeking indulgence and personal pampering during their honeymoons, the survey said, citing over-the-top luxury and spa resorts as main trends.

Among the most luxurious amenities travel agents singled out were overwater bungalows at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in French Polynesia. This ultimate honeymoon suite features a private deck that leads directly into a lagoon.

The Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Maui, where couples can indulge in massages, facials and Hawaiian baths, was rated the best resort spa by the agents, while the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai was cited for its luxurious bathroom.

That pampering doesn't come cheap. A one-night stay in an overwater bungalow during the summer months comes with a price tag of 675, or $831, according to Bora Bora Lagoon Resort's online booking system.

On average, newlyweds will shell out $3,700 for an eight-day honeymoon, according to the Fairchild Bridal Infobank. Fairchild Bridal Group publishes Modern Bride

Those are good choices.

I would say maybe, Australia too, Italy, France, China... jk :)
Maybe if you want romance and excitment, you could go to Canada, and go to Niagra Falls (romance) and Canada's Wonderland (excitment).

Canada would be a great place if you want a European feel close to home. A stay in Montreal would feel as if you're in France and a stay in Niagara Falls would be GORGEOUS! Also, U.S. currency currently has a higher value than Canadian currency. So, if you want a European-like trip with astonishing scenery, Canada is for you! Wow, I feel like a promoter for Canadian travel...

Just about any place that interests you would be a good choice. There are many people that come here to Italy. Prague is a wonderful place to visit with a beautiful castle over the river. Budapest is another scenic choice. My nephew and his wife went to the Greek islands and loved it there.
